F-TEC are taking steps to reduce their carbon footprint, reduce plastic waste and offer training on the latest energy saving equipment.
As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability, F-TEC recently replaced all their lighting from traditional bulbs and strips to energy efficient LEDs throughout the training facility including the offices, training rooms and workshops. Alongside this, they have also removed all single-use plastic from their catering.
With the growth in new energy reduction technologies, F-TEC have secured the latest equipment at their training centre to offer practical training to engineers. Lithium ion powered trucks have the benefit of low carbon emissions but this high voltage system can be fatal if engineers are not trained properly. F-TEC offer courses on high voltage to ensure equipment is maintained and rectified safely.
Karl Baum, F-TEC Managing Director, explains why their approach is so important, “We are training the next generation of engineers to secure the future of the industry. It is vital that we do this sustainably to secure the future of the planet too.”
