F-TEC have selected Ben – Support for life and Wiltshire Air Ambulance, as their chosen charities for the second year running.
Karl Baum, F-TEC, says, “Both Ben and Wiltshire Air Ambulance do amazing work and we are delighted to be supporting them again this year. Not only are they both deserving charities but they are also causes which are close to the hearts of our employees.”
Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charitable Trust is a registered charity providing an essential Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in Wiltshire, Bath and surrounding areas. They are a charity and rely on donations to continue saving lives. It is not funded directly by the Government and receives no National Lottery grants. It costs £4 million a year to keep the lifesaving service operational, around £11,000 per day.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance’s paramedics are trained in critical care skills and, together with the specialist medical equipment they use, it enables them to deliver gold standard medical care to patients. Wiltshire Air Ambulance is operational up to 19 hours a day, every day, and is called to, on average, three incidents a day in its helicopter and two Rapid Response Vehicles (cars).
Ben supports the lifeblood of the automotive industry – it’s people. They provide support for life to anyone who works or has worked in the automotive industry. They support people to navigate life’s challenges, helping them make positive, lasting changes to their lives. They work with individuals and companies to improve people’s health and wellbeing.
Their life-changing support empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing so they live well. They can support through a crisis and help people with their mental health, physical health and their wellbeing. Ben also operates flexible, continuing care and support for those in later life, which is not dependent on an automotive industry connection. This includes excellent nursing, residential, dementia and respite care.
