– About the Course

The IPAF Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) operator course will provide delegates with the essential knowledge and practical skills to safely operate MEWPS. It will ensure operators understand the hazards and risks associated with MEWP use and how to minimise them. The delegates will have the ability to comply with current health and safety legislation and manufacturer guidance for the safe use of MEWPS.

– Objectives Of the Programme
By the end of the course, the delegates will be able to :

• Understand the relevant health and safety regulations, LOLER, PUWER, and Working at Height Regulations.
• Identify the different categories of MEWPS.
• Carry out pre-use inspections on MEWPS.
• Operate MEWPs safely and efficiently in a variety of working environments.
• Recognise potential risks and hazards during operation.
• Demonstrate safe emergency lowering procedures.

– Course Duration
1 to 3 days on-site training.

Successful delegates will receive a PAL (Powered Access License) card through the IPAF EPAL APP, valid for 5 years.
