F-TEC Introduction
The F-TEC Training Centre is a specialised facility providing a comprehensive range of training programmes for the materials handling and access industry. These include operator training, Apprenticeships, Advanced Level courses, Thorough Examination, Diagnostics, Safety, and more.
F-TEC is the UK and Europe’s only dedicated training centre for both forklift truck and powered access engineering. Based in Swindon, we work with leading manufacturers and over 40 independent companies to deliver training that’s designed by the industry, for the industry.
While general training providers offer standard operator courses, F-TEC goes further, delivering both high quality operator training and advanced engineering programmes for technicians and engineers. Our expert led courses cover areas such as diagnostics, hydraulics, electronics, and high voltage systems, ensuring the highest standards across all levels of the workforce.

National Apprenticeships
F-TEC’s dedicated training facility in Swindon offers specialised “pure FLT and MEWP” course content, preparing graduates to work with a wide range of materials handling equipment, including internal combustion and electric models.
Committed to quality, integrity, and delivering an exceptional experience for both apprentices and employers, F-TEC ensures all training is accredited by The IMI Awards.
Our programmes include Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeships in Lift Truck and Powered Access Maintenance and Repair, along with a selection of shorter engineer courses.
